For One Month, Successful Students of IHU Have Received Education in USA

Students who successfully completed the language preparatory courses at Ibn Haldun University (IHU), continue to receive a part of their academic education abroad. Our students benefit from this privileged and completely free opportunity and yet they develop their foreign languages.

Our students receive education in the USA for a month

The first Intensive Winter Program of the 2018-2019 academic year organized by our International Office in cooperation of Ibn Haldun University and in collaboration with Ali Vural Ak Center for Global Islamic Studies at George Mason University, one of the outstanding universities of the USA, started on Saturday, February 2 with the participation of more than 20 successful students. In the program, our students received lessons for a month from world-renowned academics in social sciences. They also attended workshops and seminars on recent and important issues of the social and human sciences given by the experts of these subjects. The workshops were designed to develop our student’s academic writing skills by allowing them to engage in arguments and discussions on related subjects with their analytical thinking in English.

They both receive academic education and improve their foreign language

The program included trips to the White House and Congress Building in Washington DC, as well as to cities such as New York. Our students also attended seminars in political science given by academicians at SETA Washington DC.

Our President Prof. Recep Senturk emphasized on the importance of the program by saying: “We are trying to contribute to the multifaceted development of our students’ spiritual, emotional and intellectual aspects by cooperating with America’s leading academic, intellectual and social stakeholders.”

These programs, which are organized by our university in order to improve our students’ international knowledge, manners, talents and trainings and make them more conscious for their future careers, will continue in the summer period.
