National Ranking Based on 2017-2018 Indicators

Every year, around a million and a half high school graduates take Turkey’s nation-wide university entrance exam, and just over 400,000 manage to make it into some institution of higher education. Students obtain absolute scores, on which they base their choices as they fill out their selection sheets. The lowest ranked score to get into a particular department or program therefore becomes an excellent reflection of student esteem and university preference.

On that basis, Ibn Haldun University has managed to climb rapidly up the ladder in its very first year by joining the top five for the majority of its departments. As of 2017, there were 186 universities in Turkey, 119 public and 67 private. The following table shows how IHU has done across its various schools and departments vis-à-vis all other Turkish universities.
