Ibn Haldun University (IHU) and the Strategic Thinking Group Society (STGS) organized, in cooperation, a strategic thinking camp for youth in Edirne-Enez between July 22-25, 2019. The camp was attended by 120 students from 16 countries, including 30 students from our university, as well as thinkers, researchers, strategists and statesmen from Islamic and Arab countries.
At the opening of the camp, Mohammed Salem Al-Rashed, Chairman of the Strategic Thinking Group Society, explained the group’s philosophy in spreading awareness in the field of strategic thinking. In a related context, Head of our International Office, Enes Yalman, delivered a presentation on the role of Ibn Haldun University in spreading cooperation and awareness of strategic planning and thinking among young people around the world in the field of strategic planning and thinking.
Experts in fields of strategy, economy, pious foundations (Waqfs) studies, and politics and international relations organized workshops in the camp in which social activities were also held.
The camp ended with the handing out awards and certifications of participation to all participants.
Both Ibn Haldun University (IHU) and the Strategic Thinking Group Society (STGS) have previously signed a joint cooperation agreement to offer and accredit postgraduate diploma program in the fields of strategic thinking, planning and management from the Turkish Ministry of Higher Education. The agreement was signed in October 2018 during a small ceremony at Ibn Haldun University in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Salem Al-Rashed, Chairman of the Strategic Thinking Group Society, and Prof. Recep Şentürk, President of our university.
