The Ibn Haldun University Second Language Teacher Education Symposium is a one-day event that will be held on Sunday, June 4, at the Student Center Activities Hall and Harvard Hall. SLTE is curated by the Ibn Haldun University School of Languages and Teacher Training Center for ELT university students, teachers, and teacher trainers. Our goal is to raise awareness about the recent developments in second language teacher education. The theme for the first event will be bridging theory and practice in teacher education.
The keynote speakers are Professor Hossein Farhady from Yeditepe University, Mr. Scott Thornbury from Cambridge ESOL, and Dr. Jason Anderson from Warwick University. The featured speakers are Dr. Bahar Gun from Izmir University of Economy, Dr. Kamile Hamiloğlu from Boğaziçi University, Dr. Adem Soruç from Samsun University, and Ms. Lindsay Warwick from Norwich Institute of Language Education.
