In collaboration with our University, ÖNDER Association of Imam Hatip Schools, and the Ministry of National Education Directorate General of Religious Education, the "My Guide, My Prophet" Hadith Memorization Competition Award Ceremony was held on April 10, 2025, at the Media and Event Center Event Hall with great participation and enthusiasm.
This year, the competition was held for the second time, with international participation simultaneously through digital platforms such as Zoom and Kahoot. The competition was completed in an online environment with a transparent evaluation process.
The award ceremony began with the recitation of the Qur'an by Ali Nevfel, a student at the International Fatih Sultan Mehmet Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.
Opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Zambry bin AbdulKadir, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education; Assoc. Prof. Celile Eren Ökten, Deputy Minister of National Education; Mustafa Asım Alkan, Deputy Governor of Istanbul; Prof. İrfan Gündüz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Atilla Arkan, our President; Abdullah Ceylan, President of ÖNDER; and Enes Hibe, Vice President of ÖNDER.
The speeches emphasized the importance of learning hadiths and following the Sunnah of our Prophet. The efforts of young people in this field were acknowledged, and thanks were extended to all stakeholders, especially our university, who contributed to the organization. Deputy Minister of National Education Celile Ökten highlighted the value of connecting young people with the hadiths of our Prophet in the educational process, emphasizing the human-centered approach of the Turkey Century Education Model. The songs performed by students from the International Fatih Sultan Mehmet Anatolian Imam Hatip High School added an artistic touch to the ceremony. Prof. İsmail Lütfi Çakan, who delivered the closing lecture, emphasized that the most important example for humanity is the life of the Rasulullah. Çakan stated that hadiths represent both the divine will in the human realm and the practical reflections of the Sunnah-i Seniyye, serving as a guide.
The program concluded with the presentation of competition awards and the taking of commemorative photos.
