The International Gaza Workshop took place on May 14, 2026, at Darüşşifa, whose opening ceremony was held in recent months at our University’s Süleymaniye Campus.
The launch of the workshop featured speeches by Prof. Dr. Ayşen Gürcan,Chief Advisor to the President, Eskişehir Deputy, and former Minister of Family and Social Policies; AKP Central Decision and Management Board (MKYK) member Hamza Dağ; Palestinian Senior Engineer Wail Salmanali and Dr. Muhammet Raşit Sancar.
In parallel workshops attended by figures from the international health, academic, and political communities, as well as NGO representatives, decisions were discussed regarding what can be done on the ground to initiate the process of peace, justice, and reconstruction in Gaza.
During the workshop, important messages and wishes were shared within the scope of international law, emergency humanitarian aid, and the vision for regional development.
