We hosted Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan at the "Board of Trustees - Student Meetings" series, which we organized to bring together the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University with our students.

We hosted Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, our Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees, at the event held on Monday, March 28 of our Board of Trustees Student Meetings series, which we organized to bring together the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University with our students.

In the interview moderated by our 4th year student at the Faculty of Law, Hüseyin Yağızhan Kol, Bilal Erdoğan talked about his educational experiences abroad and advised our students who want to become academics to do an integrated doctorate instead of a master's degree.

Stating that Ibn Haldun University is in a good position as an educational institution that was established in 2015 and accepted its first students in 2017, he said: “We have come to a good point in 7 years.  We saw that the university is a place where many things can be done.  The number of academics, which is currently around 200, will reach 500 when our university reaches full capacity. In addition, we make it a principle not to cut off contact with our students after they graduate. We have a dream of academics who are not disconnected from the field and whose vision is able to break existing paradigms, and I think that such professors can come out of this university.” Drawing attention to the importance of regional expertise and diplomacy, Erdoğan Said that “Our work on regional expertise has already started.  When our university is ready, we want to start trainings that will provide diplomacy competence.  The information is now in everyone's hands, what matters is what you can do with it.  That's why we care about gaining competence in the education system. ”

Drawing attention to the fact that Turkey is not just Turkey, Bilal Erdoğan gave the following advice and wishes to our students: “While making decisions about your dreams, you should plan within the scope of a wider geography than Turkey.  The world is our field, we should definitely not think locally.  We are hopeful of you.  When our President founded TÜRGEV, he intended to be an institution that would raise better generations.  Our aim is for you to surpass us and to be a better equipped generation in every way.”

The program ended with Bilal Erdoğan answering the questions from the students.
