Breaking new ground in Türkiye, our university will launch the “Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence” undergraduate program starting from the 2026–2027 academic year. This unique and innovative program will be the first of its kind in the country to combine philosophy and AI technologies from an interdisciplinary perspective at the undergraduate level.
The Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence Undergraduate Program aims to equip students with both technical and intellectual skills, preparing them to become the “philosopher-AI experts” that the modern age demands. The program will offer a holistic curriculum that integrates core philosophical areas such as ethics, epistemology, and philosophy of mind with technical fields like artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and data analysis.
As the impact of artificial intelligence on individuals, society, and ethical values continues to grow, this program seeks to develop human- and civilization-centered solutions by integrating philosophical thought with technological advancement. One of the program’s goals is to position its graduates to make meaningful contributions to emerging fields such as cognitive science, AI ethics, philosophy of mind, and technology policy.
The program will provide students with a dual-depth education in both philosophy and computer science. With a curriculum designed to compete globally with similar programs at institutions like Oxford, Harvard, and Stanford, students will benefit from a truly interdisciplinary educational experience.
Led by our university’s distinguished faculty in philosophy and artificial intelligence, the program will also bring fresh momentum to Ibn Haldun University’s innovative AI-focused education, research, and project initiatives.
The program will admit students based on the “Equal Weight” score type and will be listed in the 2026–2027 YKS preference guide.
