A cooperation protocol covering education, research, and digital media was signed between our university and the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK).

The protocol, which includes collaboration in education, research, and institutional partnerships, was signed on June 2, 2025, during a ceremony held at our Başakşehir Campus.

The signing ceremony was attended by our Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. İrfan Gündüz, our President Prof. Atilla Arkan, RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin, our Vice Rectors, Secretary General, RTÜK executives, academic and administrative staff, and members of the press.

In his speech at the ceremony, our Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. İrfan Gündüz emphasized that our university, particularly through its New Media and Communication Department, has established international collaborations, citing academic partnership projects conducted with Qatar-based Al Jazeera as an example.

Our President Prof. Atilla Arkan underlined that the protocol marks the beginning of a comprehensive vision, stating:

“This cooperation includes educational activities such as internships and student exchanges, as well as graduate and doctoral programs that will contribute to the development of qualified human resources. At the same time, we will work together to develop educational programs addressing current social issues such as digital addiction and cyberbullying.”

RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin, in his speech, stated that the cooperation process between the two institutions has progressed with mutual trust and harmony, and thanked our President Prof. Atilla Arkan and his team for their efforts in preparing the protocol. Şahin said:

“This protocol is a guarantee of concrete collaborations in many areas such as internships, graduate education, data-driven policy development programs, and the development of national and local digital infrastructures. I hope it will be beneficial for both institutions.”

The protocol covers activities such as education, research, meetings and events, projects, academic publications, and awareness campaigns to be carried out in cooperation between RTÜK and Ibn Haldun University.

The ceremony concluded with the exchange of gifts and a group photo session.
