Academic and Administrative Staff Gather for Eid Celebration
A special gathering was held at our university in honor of the blessed Eid al-Adha, bringing together our academic and administrative staff in a spirit of celebration.

The event took place on Tuesday, June 3, at the Media and Event Center’s Event Hall, where university members came together to share the joy of the holiday. In his opening remarks, our President, Prof. Atilla Arkan, reflected on the transformations of our time and the need for institutions to develop new approaches in response to these changes. He stated:

“As modern individuals, we are living through extraordinary times. We have transitioned from an agricultural society to an industrial one, and now to digital eras shaped by artificial intelligence. We have become individuals who experience multiple timelines simultaneously. This multilayered reality compels us to continuously improve ourselves, both personally and institutionally. While preserving our traditional bonds, we must also create new meanings and forms. Finding and preserving the meaning of life is not easy. What makes a person truly human is not just knowledge, but the capacity to generate values and meaning. In this context, our religious ceremonies are vital for sustaining a culture of coexistence and social solidarity. I hope we continue to uphold our traditions and enrich them with new, meaningful ones.”

Our General Secretary Sabahattin Belik emphasized the spiritual atmosphere of Eid al-Adha and spoke about the strength gained from working together. He expressed the following in his speech:

“As we approach the blessed Eid al-Adha, I am grateful for this moment of togetherness. May God sustain our shared motivation to work in unity. Though there is still a long road ahead, we are progressing with determination each day. I sincerely thank you for all your valuable efforts on the path toward excellence. I wish this Eid brings peace, health, and harmony to all humanity.”

The program concluded with a warm exchange of holiday greetings among university members.
