Resistance Through the Language of Art and Tribute to Palestine: “Sadâkat” Exhibition Opens
The “Sadâkat” exhibition, in which our University is among the stakeholders, aims to make the struggle of the Palestinian people visible through traditional arts and the language of art.

Sponsored in part by Ibn Haldun University, the “Sadâkat” exhibition opened to visitors on Wednesday, May 7 at the Dolmabahçe Art Gallery. Showcasing distinguished examples of calligraphy, illumination (tezhip), marbling (ebru), and miniature art, the exhibition seeks to bear witness to the resistance of the Palestinian people through art. The exhibition is curated by Meryem Veli, with H. Gülnihal Aydın serving as creative director.

Speaking at the opening, our President Prof. Atilla Arkan drew attention to the events in Gaza, stating:

“Humanity is facing a great test. The occupation that has continued in Palestine for decades has turned into a systematic genocide after October 7. This genocide must end immediately; the occupying force, Israel, must withdraw from Palestinian lands and be held accountable for its crimes.

As Ibn Haldun University, we will continue to stand by Palestine’s just cause. I find the Sadâkat exhibition very meaningful in this regard. Our esteemed artists are coming together for Palestine…”

Our President Prof. Arkan also reminded that our university continues to raise awareness for Gaza through panels, symposiums, and student initiatives.

Organized with contributions from our University, the Presidency of National Palaces, the Palestine Foundation, and Albaraka Türk, the exhibition will be open to visitors at the Dolmabahçe Palace Collections Museum, Dolmabahçe Art Gallery, until May 17.
