Ibn Haldun University Forges New Ties with Mexico
A delegation from Ibn Haldun University, led by President Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, embarked on a comprehensive working visit to Mexico, aimed at fostering educational collaborations and strengthening relations.

The delegation engaged in a series of fruitful meetings during their stay, forging partnerships with key institutions in Mexico's educational landscape. Among the notable educational institutions visited were The College of Mexico, Panamerican University and National Autonomous University of Mexico where avenues for collaboration were explored, highlighting mutual interests and potential areas of cooperation, including academic exchanges, joint research initiatives, and faculty development programs. 

The delegation also met the H.E. İlhan Kemal Tuğ, Turkish Ambassador in Mexico; Fatih Abdi Çetin, Director of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Mexico; and Salih Gültekin, the Coordinator of Yunus Emre Institute in Mexico. These discussions centered on enhancing bilateral ties between Türkiye and Mexico specifically in the realm of higher education. Ideas were exchanged on fostering cultural understanding, promoting academic exchange programs, and nurturing long-term partnerships. 

During the visit program, Yunus Emre Institute hosted a seminar by the President Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan on “Transformation of Education and the Future”, attended by Mexican university students.  The IHU delegation also visited Hall of Türkiye, which was installed by TİKA within the National Museum of Cultures in Mexico.

The visit to Mexico marks a significant milestone for Ibn Haldun University, signaling its commitment to expanding its global footprint and fostering collaborations with esteemed institutions worldwide. By laying the groundwork for future partnerships, the delegation has opened doors to a new phase of international engagement, poised to enrich the academic development and promote cultural diversity.
