In line with its vision of having a strong network in the international arena, our university continues to increase its cooperation on a global scale and strengthen its position in the international arena. In this context, our Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan and the accompanying delegation made important visits to the Russian capital Moscow between January 9-12, 2024.
Speaking at his meeting with Rector Viktor Sadovnichiy at Moscow State University, N. Bilal Erdoğan stated that they set out to establish a very ambitious and world-class university. Noting that Ibn Haldun University aims to be a research university in the field of social sciences, Erdoğan underlined that we are a strong university that is at the forefront of foreign language education. Erdoğan emphasized that Ibn Haldun University ranks first in Turkey with its international student ratio and the fact that more than half of our students are master's and doctoral students, and that Ibn Haldun University ranks first in Turkey with the fact that 90 percent of our students are on scholarship.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan also gave detailed information about our university; He emphasized that the main purpose of our university is to prepare the Turkish society for the future together with the societies living in the geography where it is located, and underlined that we attach great importance to digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan and Viktor Sadovnichiy signed a cooperation protocol between the two universities.
After the protocol, the delegation of our university also visited the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow and made contacts.
