An Educational Cooperation Protocol was signed between Ibn Haldun University and Türk Telekom to strengthen employees' professional, personal, and leadership competencies. Held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at our University’s Başakşehir Complex, the signing ceremony brought together Türk Telekom CEO Ebubekir Şahin, our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan, and senior executives from both Türk Telekom and our University.
Within the scope of the protocol, joint initiatives are planned to design education and professional development programs that enhance the professional, personal, and leadership skills of Türk Telekom employees with the support of Ibn Haldun University faculty. In turn, Türk Telekom industry experts will contribute to academic endeavours at the university and share their sector experience with youth.
While reinforcing the company’s commitment to lifelong learning, sustainable talent development, and a strong employer brand, this partnership establishes a collaborative model founded on shared value creation and mutual benefit, bridging academia and industry. Ibn Haldun University students will also gain firsthand insight into contemporary industry expectations, enabling them to set their career goals more deliberately.
Speaking at the ceremony, our Rector, Prof. Atilla Arkan, noted that in an era where technology is rapidly transforming working life, critical thinking and decision-making skills have become ever more decisive. Prof. Arkan stated that they approach education as a comprehensive process that fosters ethical responsibility and societal awareness alongside professional qualifications. He added: “Under the protocol signed with Türk Telekom, we will channel our academics’ expertise into employee development. Through programs tailored within this framework, our goal is to help participants evaluate complex issues through a broader lens and advance their leadership capabilities. Concurrently, the insights shared by industry specialists will enrich the learning and research ecosystems at our university”.
Highlighting that Türk Telekom stands as one of the leading employer firms in Türkiye, CEO Ebubekir Şahin affirmed that cultivating qualified human capital is regarded as a national responsibility. Emphasizing that every investment made in youth constitutes an investment in the future of Türkiye, Şahin remarked: “In line with our objective to contribute to our country’s national technology vision, combining the deep knowledge base of academia with our sector’s global experience to invest in the development of our people remains among our top priorities”.
