Placing great importance on human health, environmental cleanliness, and the preservation of nature, our University is adopting the Smoke-Free Campus Initiative to cultivate a smoke-free campus culture and protect against the potential harms of tobacco products.
In line with the published directive, the use of tobacco and related products has been restricted across our campus. The use of such products is prohibited in all indoor areas and across the vast majority of outdoor spaces. Tobacco products may only be consumed at a very limited number of designated areas on campus. Consequently, the use of these products will be curtailed while effectively preventing secondhand smoke exposure.
The continuity of the Smoke-Free Campus policy will be maintained through digital announcements and posters. Furthermore, members wishing to quit using these products will receive support through information sessions, awareness initiatives, counseling, and referrals to relevant healthcare institutions, coordinated by our Anti-Addiction Commission in collaboration with the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center (REDAM).
Having maintained its Green Campus policy for years, our University now marks the beginning of the Smoke-Free Campus era. Taking yet another successful and exemplary step through this conscientious stance, our University resolutely continues to reinforce a sustainable lifestyle culture for a healthier future.
