Speaking at a seminar titled "Points to Consider While Choosing Profession" organized under the scheme "IHU 101: University Admission Classes", professor Bulut emphasized that students should consider their skills, their field of interest, their values ve their personal specifications before deciding their future profession. "Young generations should choose a common field where theirs interests and skills intersect." he added. Professor Bulut speaking at the Adnan Menderes Anatolian High School described interest as a wide area filled with hobbies that are inborn, naturally possessed in limited circumstances, continuous and progressing. "So a person should concentrate on those hobbies while choosing his future profession but at the same time should play football, should cook, should do repair work, should solve mathematical problems and play with other children." he added.
Professor Bulut warned that skills and interests are different than each other and a person may not be equipped with necessary skills about a subject that he is interested in. He said, "Watching football and reading sports pages in the newspapers about football is very much different than actually playing it." Professor Bulut emphasized that there are too many subjects that has to be taken into account while choosing a profession and said; "Personal wishes and dreams, gender and physical specifications, special abilities and intelligence, professional maturity level, working habbits and school success, environmental influence, the state of economy and technological developments, possible income and demand of the prospected profession, the expectations of the immediate environment like family and friends, the socioeconomic status of the family and the level of information about the prospected profession are all important factors that needs to be considered while choosing a profession."
