We Won the Orange Flag at YÖK's 2025 Barrier-Free University Awards
With its disabled-friendly practices at the Ibn Haldun University Complex, our University was awarded the Orange Flag in the "Accessibility in Space" category at the YÖK Barrier-Free University Awards.

The universities deemed worthy of the 2025 Barrier-Free University Flag and Program Badge by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) were announced recently. Ibn Haldun University was also awarded the "Orange Flag" as part of the Barrier-Free University Awards.

Since 2018, YÖK has been presenting "Barrier-Free University Awards" in two categories—"Barrier-Free University Flags" and "Program Badges"—to create awareness and disseminate good practices regarding the access of individuals with disabilities to spaces, education, and socio-cultural activities within campuses.

Barrier-Free University Flags are awarded in three categories: "Accessibility in Space" (Orange Flag), "Accessibility in Education" (Green Flag), and "Accessibility in Socio-cultural Activities" (Blue Flag). Within this framework, the Orange Flag is awarded to universities that demonstrate a certain level of effort in terms of compliance with science, health, and environmental conditions, considering laws, regulations, zoning plans, national and international standards regarding the arrangement of open, semi-open, and closed areas for individuals with disabilities.

Our university has been awarded the Orange Flag in the "Accessibility in Space" category due to the disabled-friendly practices at its main campus, the Ibn Haldun University Complex in Başakşehir.
