Prof. Gündüz said West had consumed both ground and underground sources and now they are on the verge of consuming their human resources as well. "There is a proverb which says, 'Out of sight, out of mind.' Therefore we must come together more often. Communication technology transformed the world to a small village. We can reach all part of the world using a mobile device. So, our universities should transform themselves technologically." Prof. Gündüz added. Prof. Gündüz said contrary to the past the definition of a scholar has changed. According to Prof. Gündüz, a person who have the required information at the required time is called a scholar. "Knowledge is the only criteria to be strong. Today sharing information is more important than finding it. Getting, teaching and sharing information is the common responsibility of academic institutions." he said.
