Ibn Haldun University administrators and academics gathered with leading journalists.

Ibn Haldun University administrators and academics gathered with leading journalists from the media at working breakfast at Sepetçiler Kasrı, İstanbul. Professor İrfan Gündüz, the President of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University together with Professor Recep Şentürk, the President of Ibn Haldun University answered all the questions including the vision, the mission, education standards, funding  and the future plans of the university.

In the openning speech professor Şentürk said, "We think it would be better to provide financing for the university by the support of different foundation funds, instead of one single funding. We have been working on this for a while."  Speaking after the opening speech of professor Şentürk, professor İrfan Gündüz, the President of the Board of Trustees, stated that as a university, the administration aims to specialize in social sciences. He added that the total number of students enrolling to the university will be maximun of 5 thousand. Emphasizing that Ibn Haldun University aims to specialize at graduate and PhD programs professor Gündüz said, "When a university focuses on a certain area, it can build a robust structure of all the developments in the world by taking good examples into consideration, then this situation will be reflected to young generations and that will help them prepare for the future." Professor Gündüz underlined that one of objectives of Ibn Haldun University is not to damage the structure that makes the success sustainable but to strengthen it. "Therefore we will mainly concentrate on graduate and PhD programs. There are many universities all over the country and they all need qualified scholors. We are working to meet the needs of the universities in Turkey." he said.
