Cooperation Possibilities Discussed Between Ibn Haldun University and Middle East Strategic Research Center
During the visit to Ibn Haldun University campus at Başakşehir, İstanbul, the representatives of the Middle East Strategic Research Center based in Jordan said, the momentum of the higher education in Turkey for the last decade should be appreciated.

Jordanian delegation headed by Jawad Al Hamad, the President of Middle East Strategic Research Center visited the Directorate of International Office and discussed the recent developments in the field of higher education in Turkey. Enes Yalman, the Director of International Office said, the developments after the alphabet reform and the hard political landscape of the military coups caused Turkey to turn in on herself. "Especially the oppression on the conservatives and religious citizens during and after the post-modern coup at February 28th, 1997 caused too much suffering. But a great transformation have been witnessed for the last 15 years in Turkey, especially in the field of education" Yalman said. Yalman emphasized that Ibn Haldun University is aiming to readopt the endowment culture from the Ottoman-Turkish heritage and especially focusing on social sciences. During the meeting future cooperation possibilities were also discussed. In this respect both sides agreed to establish joint research centers and organize workshops and seminars.
