Aiming to educate new Ibn Halduns who are intellectually independent and strong enough in the field of social sciences, Ibn Haldun University graduated it's first PhD student.
Mukerrem Mifta Shafi who completed his PhD thesis in the field of Civilization Studies titled, "Crossing the Border Between Religion and Civilization: Trends and Cases in the Study of Islamic and Western Civilizations" became the first PhD student who graduated from Ibn Haldun University. Speaking at the graduation ceremony held at The Alliance of Civilizations Institute, President of Ibn Haldun University who was also the thesis supervisor of Shafi said they believe Mukerrem Mifta will have a succesful academic career. Ibn Haldun University aims to be among the top 100 universities in the world as a research institution, with the education quality and academic opportunities as well as modern facilities.
