Dahir Hassan the President of SIMAD University and a group of scholars from Somalia visited Ibn Haldun University Campus in Başakşehir. During the meeting Professor Recep Şentürk, the President of Ibn Haldun University emphasized the vision of Ibn Haldun University and the value given to international students.
Professor Şentürk said, "The bilateral relations between Turkey and Somalia will continue growing stronger." The cooperation between two universities including student and scholar exchange and research education were on the agenda. The possible collaboration within the "Center for Peace and Conflict Studies" at Ibn Haldun University was also evaluated. Both delegations also discussed how to make up the shortage of scholars in war torn Somalia and to do academic studies about the Ottoman period.
