IHU Issues Clarification on Coronavirus

As Ibn Haldun University (IHU), last week we completed the required measures needed for shifting to online instruction. All undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. courses given at IHU have been uploaded to https://canvas.ihu.edu.tr and tests have been accomplished to conduct the courses online.

Nevertheless, IHU has immediately taken all necessary precautions as the new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) affected almost the whole world within a period of time, it has also showed up in Turkey. All our units follow developments on the subject with great interest.

There is no holiday, quarantine decision taken by the authorized units of the state across the country and region. If such a decision is taken or the situation becomes unusual, we declare to our valued students and their precious families and all IHU’s staff that we will take all necessary measures, including holidays and online instruction.

With the wishes that the disease caused by the virus is not seen in an epidemic dimension, we remind the entire family of Ibn Haldun of the principle of “precaution, not panic” in any situation. We kindly ask all of you to follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, which adopted all the necessary measures since the virus was first reported in China.
