IHU Hosts a Walk-up COVID-19 Vaccination Site
With the start of face-to-face classes and extra-curricular activities of the academic year of 2021-2022 on the campuses of Ibn Haldun University (IHU), a new precaution has been applied in order to minimize the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, to protect the health of the university members and to ensure the sustainability of face-to-face education.

Başakşehir District Health Directorate teams established a walk-up vaccination site at the Ibn Haldun University Complex on Thursday, October 7. The team vaccinated students, academic and administrative members with the mRNA Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. In this context, a total of 54 members had the opportunity to receive the 1st dose or 2nd dose vaccines.

It is planned to conduct the walk-up vaccination site again in the future if needed, depending on the course of the pandemic.

Before the start of the Academic Year, the measures taken by the university senate to be implemented on IHU’s campuses and student dormitories against the COVID-19 pandemic were announced to all members and necessary precautions were prepared. In this context, IHU’s faculty member Assoc. Prof. Enis Doko delivered a talk titled “Global Opposition to Vaccination and Its Mainstays” on Tuesday, October 5.
